Donald Trump has been pushing his executive powers as far as he can since returning to the Oval Office. The 47th President has signed a flurry of executive orders, with some even being blocked by federal judges for being deemed unconstitutional.

Now, it appears that Trump has made one of his aggressive moves yet, and it’s not an exaggeration to call it a horrible overreach of the President’s authority.

“Trump signs executive action ‘requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections and demanding that all ballots be received by Election Day’ The move is likely to face swift challenges from voting rights organizations,” reported Philip Lewis on Tuesday.

People reacted to the news on social media.

“They only win when they try to make it harder to vote, ” one person wrote on Twitter.

“Why doesn’t he just sign an EO to demolish the judiciary and congressional branches of government and make himself king? Doesn’t look like anyone would stop him,” wrote someone else.

“This is designed to end mail in voting, a lifeline to voting for our military, the elderly, the disabled, and those whose work schedules wont allow in person voting,” another person added.

It’ll be interesting to see how Trump responds when he realizes there are checks and balances to prevent this sort of brutal overreach.
